I spy with my little blackeye: gloves. They are one of the trends I'm most excited about for the fast-approaching autumn and winter seasons--after thigh-high boots. Gloves are more than just a millinery accessory to keep manicured fingers warm; they add instant luxe to your ensemble.
Probably taking que from the over-the-knee boots that starred in myriad runway shows, gloves stretched from stud and stone-embellished wrists to well over the elbow as shown at Roberto Cavalli. Phi's long quilted leather gloves are one of my favorites along with Miu Miu's cropped and studded leather gloves.

Shopper's Delight | Chanel's 'Essential' Leather Shopping Bag
As one who adores shopping I absolutely detest the results of said experience: carrying the shopping bags. Fortunately Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld has just given me a reason rethink that stand. A sleek and tres chic reason that I will never want to discard of, which is actually the point. "You know, I love shopping bags," Karl told Bazaar, "I cannot throw away a nice shopping bag, I always keep them. So I said, 'Let's make one that is supposed to last...this one is impeccable.'" Impeccable indeed, the 'Essential' tote is available in sleek black leather with the bright-white CHANEL logo or in white leather with black lettering. In either color combo I'd have to say this is the chicest re-usable bag yet.

Question: What do you get when you cross a Gladiator with a Ballerina? And now we turn to eclectic punk fashion icon Vivienne Westwood and eco-friendly Brazilian shoe designer Melissa's current shoe collaboration for the answer: a flat, hypoallergenic plastic, round toe three buckle ankle strap 'Gladiator Ballerina' which thoughtfully comes in red, bronze, black and copper. While I'm sure the Earth is thanking them, I wonder what ballerinas and gladiators are thinking?

Christian Dior animal-print stingray Goddess sandal We've seen shoes inspired by architecture and furniture via Prada, Sergio Rossi and Marc Jacobs, even the L'Air du Temps perfume bottle via Nina Ricci's Oliver Theyskens. But a goddess, à la roman sculpture? I'm not sure if I should be picking out pedicure lacquer or a pedestal.
THE BLACKLIST | Calla Lily Dreamin'
I have always loved the romantic sophistication that the calla lily embodies. I keep a bouquet in my home for inspiration and admiration, hence my pleasant surprise when I came across the Calla Lily collection at Asprey. Right on the top of the list with diamonds as a girl’s best friend--what more could you ask for than these diamond covered blooms. Pink or black sapphires, pavé white diamonds and amethyst make the perfect brooch or ring set in 18-carat white gold. I’d honestly love and be ecstatic to receive my favorite, the white pavé diamonds calla lily with pink sapphire spadix, as an engagement ring. Would you?
