BLACKEYE
Obsessories | Balmain's Bags
Badass chic comes in a shoulder bag—four to be exact via Balmain. Following its most coveted collections—I’m still drooling over the sequin mini dress and red-hot ankle booties—this mini collection of handbags doesn’t disappoint. Classic silhouettes yet meticulously detailed, these hand-made bags thoroughly exude the level of rock-chic glam to compliment your pique-shouldered blazers, minis and booties.
BLACKEYE | Glove Story
I spy with my little blackeye: gloves. They are one of the trends I'm most excited about for the fast-approaching autumn and winter seasons--after thigh-high boots. Gloves are more than just a millinery accessory to keep manicured fingers warm; they add instant luxe to your ensemble.
Probably taking que from the over-the-knee boots that starred in myriad runway shows, gloves stretched from stud and stone-embellished wrists to well over the elbow as shown at Roberto Cavalli. Phi's long quilted leather gloves are one of my favorites along with Miu Miu's cropped and studded leather gloves.
Louboutin Lovin' | Christian Louboutins On SALE!
BLACKEYE | Fully Vested
I know. It's hot--and humid, which makes us avid tank top wearers trying our best to bear the heat. But our trendiness doesn't have to melt away like our foundation. One sure way to keep you fully vested in your summer wardrobe and stay cool-and chic-is by topping of your minimalist ensemble with a vest. I'm loving Arden B's military button front vest--simple, yet detailed enough for day and night wear. Instantly upgrade your light sundresses or gauzy tees with a lightweight waistcoat.
Also, for those cool summer evenings and wear well into the fall season try a leather vest:Rick Owens' crocodile leather vest or Alexander Wang's asymmetrical zippered vest are two of my favorites for the cooler weather.
Lip Jewelry | Rouge G de Guerlain Ruby-Powder Lipstick
With diamond cream facials and 24k gold body scrubs stopping time and keeping faces and bodies youthfully vibrant, I knew it wouldn’t be long before a star-worthy jewel-infused lipstick hit (or should that be smeared?) the beauty scene. So of course I was euphoric to discover Rouge G, Guerlain’s latest lipstick, which has the powder of real red rubies for optimum radiance. But Guerlain creative director Olivier Echaudemaison wanted much more than a lipstick, and commissioned fashionable jeweler Lorenz Bäumer to design not a regular tube of lipstick, rather “an object dedicated to the lips” that would also “capture the quintessence of luxury.” The result? Jewelry for the lips—a beauty hybrid that is part ruby powder lipstick and part make-up compact with a hidden mirror allowing you to steal the spotlight with camera-ready lips.
Diamonds will always be a girl’s best friend, but it’s time to welcome rubies as your newest BFF. Rouge G de Guerlain will always have your back-or in this case, lips,-with bling dedicated specifically to the lips. This lipstick uses a combination of ruby powder enhanced with glass microbeads-diffracting light to infinity and beyond-and liquid mother-of-pearl combined with a concentration of pigments to reveal a previously unachieved and spectacular level of radiance that will definitely leave him blinded-by the beauty of your lips.
We all love a little instant gratification, and at first glaze of Rouge G de Guerlain the hyaluronic acid microspheres swell up to 6x their initial volume while the gugal resin acts as a wrinkle filler; translation: no more wrinkled lips with cracked lipstick. Uneven areas simply disappear and like magic a perfectly smooth and radiant surface is reflected. To keep luscious lips kissable the formula is enriched with wild mango butter ensuring optimum levels of hydration. And with 25 rouge-based shades (model Natalia Vodianova wears Grenade 65 - Grenat Pink) you’re sure to find the perfect one to create your own jaw-dropping pout of perfection.
BLACKEYE | Oversized Earrings
Size does matter, and when it comes to one of the season's biggest trends: bigger is definitely better. Models on spring/summer runways-think Marni's flower power, Andrew Gn's bead frenzy and Vivienne Westwood's opulent chandeliers-steadied these boldly overscaled shoulder-grazing earrings in front of hair that was pulled back in full and half-ponytails and side-swept into updos maximizing their statement-making potential. Attend all your summer fêtes with big, bold and beautifully oversized earrings.

Sole Searching | Blue Suede Shoes
My favorite colour sauntered VPL's SS09 runway via LD Tuttle-designed blue suede shoes, which immediately put me on the hunt for the soleful hue.
Go with a cage look in Fendi's blue jean lattice sandal or fabulous in fringe with Christian Louboutin's electric blueTina 120 suede ankle sandals. Miu Miu's seude platforms with slingback are a perfect introduction to a shot of color for your wardrobe and C'N'C by Costume National's pump blends classic cool with modern edge.
BLACKEYE | Fringe Benefits
Flapper fringe-inspired by the 'roaring twenties'-draped runways at Alberta Ferretti, Jil Sander and others with a modernity that rolls jazz-age chic and modern detailing into fête-inducing frocks. Stay in step with spring's nude trend and go with Alberta Ferretti's metallic satin fringed dress or 3.1 Phillip Lim's shimmer fringe dress with gathered waist. Jil Sander's chocolate fringed silk dress is the perfect LBD alternative while Rachel Gilert's 'Peaches' fringed silk dress with shimmering sequins is party perfect.
White On! | Snow-White Nails For Spring
Right on for an unexpectedly chic and feminine look, snow-white nails complimented heat-to-toe white ensembles at Chanel couture. This isn't a season for Ice Queens so keep nails short while you try CoverGirl Boundless Color polish in 'White Nite' or Lippmann Collection 'Rhapsody In White' lacquer.
Underneath It All | Kiki de Montparnasse Lingerie

Spring's arrival has signaled a need to peel off those layers of heavyweight undergarments and usher in the soft, lightweight and luxuriate collection from Kiki de Montparnasse.
