What the HEEL?!

Christian Dior animal-print stingray Goddess sandal

We've seen shoes inspired by architecture and furniture via Prada, Sergio Rossi and Marc Jacobs, even the L'Air du Temps perfume bottle via Nina Ricci's Oliver Theyskens. But a goddess, à la roman sculpture? I'm not sure if I should be picking out pedicure lacquer or a pedestal.

I love this sandal but I can't image scuffing that heel or getting it caught between the sidewalk cracks, but then again it's too wide for that scenario. In that case I'll probably never take them off.

i like everything... except the heel.... looks hideous and tacky... i guess these are meant for runways and display only...

There are shoes made for walking and shoes made for standing still (or sitting) and looking pretty. These are clearly in the latter category. I can't imagine actually walking in them. No, not at all. Pretty, but completely impractical.

These shoes are perfect for the editorial shoot but for practical purposes like an Oscar's afterparty, I'll have to see it to believe it.

I will just watch someone else walk around ...or try to in them..they are beautiful...
